NATIONAL POLICE CHECK/STATUTORY DECLARATION

Midnight Express Cleaning understands that National Police Certificates are intended to complement, as distinct from being the sole criteria, the robust recruitment practices that are part of our responsibilities under the Act to ensure staff are suitable to work in a RACS.
Midnight Express Cleaning complies fully and proactively with that requirement that:
All relevant employees, at all times, hold a police check that is not more than three (3) years old.
All employees have been assessed as suitable for providing services within the aged care setting, with reference to the Aged Care Act 1997.
Requires all staff, to complete a statutory declaration regarding any form of assault, including sexual assault and/ or murder
The Guidelines provided the Office of Aged Care Quality and Compliance (OACQC) form the basis of our policy and compliance measures.

ELDER ABUSE AND COMPULSORY REPORTING

Elder Abuse is a term referring to any knowing, intentional, or negligent act by a caregiver or person that causes harm or a serious risk of harm to a vulnerable adult.
Duty of Care encompasses a duty not to be careless or negligent, and arises from a relationship between parties that are regarded as sufficiently close, in proximity or time spent, as to infer that an obligation exists.
